Computer Education
Computer education initiates our young students into the captivating world of computing, and introduces them to its wide and ever increasing range of applications.
We commence computer education from lower classes itself. We make sure that high end machines are available for each child. Our computer labs are spacious and equipped with the latest hardware and software. In addition, we have provisions for restricted free internet browsing.
DIGITAL CLASSROOMS
The school integrates the new trend of ‘Smart Class Technology’ along with the existing system of ethics and value based education in order to provide our students with state-of-the-art education so that they can compete in the world.
LIBRARY
Our library occupies a spacious room with a large collection of books on a wide variety of topics. Books on spirituality, foreign publications, literary work in English and Hindi are available. In addition to this, we also have reference books that help to enhance the knowledge of the students.
Our school encourages students to cultivate a reading habit which in turn can help them to augment their knowledge and language skills.
MATHS LAB
The school has well equipped mathematics laboratory. It provides students with an opportunity to understand the importance and relevance of mathematics. It is a place where students can learn and verify various mathematical concepts. Maths Lab contains a variety of models, games, charts, tool kits, books etc. to be used as mathematics teaching aids for effective learning.
MULTI PURPOSE AUDITORIUM
The multi-purpose auditorium is on the ground floor which provides a functional and versatile space for assemblies, workshops, competitions, activities and gatherings of all kinds.
SPORTS
Physical fitness is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Sports provide an excellent opportunity for our students to stay fit and develop team spirit and friendship among other things.
The school has taken great care to ensure that all sports requirements are met and our children are benefited by the same. We have one room for sports related activities and have separate provision for indoor games such as carom and chess . Ample facilities for outdoor games such as volleyball, badminton, cricket and football are available, since we have the respective play areas.
Special Taekwondo classes are conducted for all students.
YOGA & MEDITATION
The ancient practices of yoga and meditation offer a multitude of benefits to students at almost every grade level. The combination of breathing and movement in Yoga can help alleviate any form of stress, clear the mind and soothe bodies. Meditation stills the mind, helping students to focus better.
Amrita Yoga and Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique are taught to our students as part of their curriculum.
MUSIC & DANCE
Music and dance are an integral part of the rich cultural tradition of Bharat. Musical forms prevalent today have their roots in the Sama Veda.
The source of Indian dance forms is the Natya Shastra which is regarded as the fifth Veda, written between the second century B.C. and second century A.D. Music and dance help in developing the physical and mental faculties of children.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Students are taught tie-dye techniques, fabric painting, candle making, making key holders, mobile holders, wooden photo frames, quilling and many other handicraft items in the Art N Craft room. Students are also taught painting.
ACTIVITY ROOM
We have a well decorated Play ‘N’ Learn room for Pre Primary children stocked with educational and indoor toys. Here, the children are allowed to engage in mind games freely and simultaneously develop a reading habit. They are guided lovingly by caring teachers to ensure that they learn while they play.
TRANSPORTATION
Our Amrita Vidyalayam has a good transport facility that ensures the safety of the students. Transportation facilities are available along selected routes, and availing the facility is optional.
Students who need to avail the same should kindly contact the office for the facilities.
OTHER FACILITIES AND PROVISIONS
The school building has two attached rooms for the staff, Principal’s room and office room. We have a Play ‘N’ Learn room for Pre Primary children and a hall for conferences and examinations. Overall, there are 18 classrooms out of which 8 are smart class rooms besides, we have 1 library, 1 Mathematics lab, 1 Composite Science lab,1 computer lab, 1 music room, 1 Art ‘N’ Craft room , 1 infirmary and 1 guest room.
The school has uninterrupted power and water supply provisions, and good sanitation facilities.
First aid and health care facilities are available on campus.
The nearest railway station is at Charbagh and the nearest airport is in Amausi.
