On Saturday, August 24th, Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Janmashtami with a vibrant Jhanki-Making activity for students of Classes 1 to 10. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with students creating elaborate and artistic jhankis that beautifully depicted various scenes from the life of Lord Krishna. Each presentation was a testament to the creativity and devotion of the participants, capturing the essence of Janmashtami and deepening their connection to the festival’s cultural and spiritual significance.
As part of the celebrations, an Intra-House Singing and Krishna Clay Modelling competition was also organized. Students from the four houses—Sam Veda, Atharva Veda, Yajur Veda, and Rig Veda—immersed themselves in creating beautiful Krishna clay idols, demonstrating their devotion and artistic skills. Meanwhile, another group of students competed in singing Krishna bhajans, with the best performances selected for the special Janmashtami assembly.
