On August 24, 2024, with utmost devotion and fervour, the students, teachers, and staff of Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Krishna Janmashtami. The assembly began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our esteemed Principal. The pre-primary students charmed everyone with their delightful dance performances and fashion walk. This was followed by a soulful bhajan by our Hindi faculty, Ms. Poonam, which deeply resonated with the audience. Students from Classes 3 to 5 rendered the devotional song “Achyutam Keshavam,” filling the atmosphere with reverence.
A skit performed by students of Classes 1 to 5 beautifully depicted the life of Lord Krishna. The event also featured an Inter-House Bhajan Singing Competition for Classes 6 to 10, where students showcased their musical talents, adding a competitive yet devotional spirit to the celebration. Additionally, a quiz on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna was conducted for all classes, engaging students in an educational yet enjoyable activity. The celebration concluded with a vibrant dance drama by students of Classes 5 to 7, depicting significant events from Lord Krishna’s life, reflecting the cultural richness and spiritual values of Janmashtami.
