The vibrant festival of Onam was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at our school for the pre-primary section. Our young learners were introduced to the rich cultural heritage of the celebration through engaging activities, such as story-telling and pookkalam making.
The activities commenced with an interactive story-telling session for the children. Tales of King Mahabali and his kindness, along with the significance of Onam were shared in a captivating manner. Following the story-telling session, the children were introduced to the traditional art of pookkalam making, which involves making colourful floral designs on the ground using various vibrant flowers. Our little artists enthusiastically took part in this activity, and were actively engaged in it showcasing their creativity and passion for new cultural experiences.
