Independence Day

To commemorate the day on which India became independent in 1947, Independence Day was celebrated at the school on August 15, 2019. The function started with the flag hoisting ceremony. A small programme was presented by the tiny tots of our pre-primary wing. They had been taught about the significance of the colours in the national flag. They all sang the song “Nanhamunnarahihun” together. Students were dressed up as national leaders such as ShaheedBhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, etc. Children sang songs full of patriotic fervour, and a skit was also enacted depicting the court scene of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The programme ended with the national anthem.
